Ever since its erection, the Diocese of Bathery has been giving much importance to her duty of rendering a proper life situation to the people, irrespective of their socio-economic, cultural or religious background. Aiming at the integral development of the people, the diocese has launched a number of social and educational activities. We are very much aware of the fact that it is only through value-based education that the integral development of a society is possible.

There are already thirty-one high schools, five higher secondary schools, three industrial training institutions and one postgraduate college functioning under the diocesan educational agency. The diocese provides its services to a diverse religious population comprised of Hindus, Muslims, Christians and Tribals. The diocesan educational institutions have traditionally propagated the need for unity and national integration.


The Department of Education of the Diocese of Bathery comprises of three Boards of Education
